الملخص
Tamentit: the city in the Ksour society It’s scientific and commercial role This paper examines the role of one of the main important palaces of Touat in the middle period; it is a question of “Tamentit”, mainly al what concerns its scientific and commercial importance. We focus rather on the most prominent scholars as well as Zaouia which were established during the period when the palace existed, in addition to the role of trade. It has been realized that it mediated one of the main Saharian commercial routes; linking urban and northern cities of Western Sudan. Furthermore, we will mention when analyzing the data the most important commodities that were activated by the convoys. All of these information have qualified this palace which played the role of a city in a society of palaces.
