الملخص
A Recent Recovery of a Historical Document on the Battle of Kutanda We seek in this article to show the historical context and new information which is revealed by a most ancient historical documents we came across during our investigation of one of the Andalusian manuscripts. The document is a historical letter which reveals a side of the mysterious news related to Kutanda Battle when the Almoravid Army was annihilated. Accordingly, there were three focal points of research; the first one was looking into Arabic resources for any information regarding this battle especially those resources, which address the time of the battle along with the incidents that accompanied it and its outcomes. The second focal point was looking into Christian resources to identify the way it dealt with the news about the same event for the purpose of holding a comparison between the different narrations located in these resources. The final focus was on a display and analysis of the historical letter along with a summary of its main contents.
