الملخص

E-commerce appeared 30 years ago and it involves computers and Internet and has become an essential ingredient to economic growth at all levels, local, regional and of course international. Analysts consider it one of the deciding factors in economic prosperity. Importance Objectives of the Study & Plan 1. Highlighting e-commerce and its role in world economy. 2. Describing the current status of e-commerce in the Arab world. 3. Defining major risks incurred in e-commerce and ways of overcoming them. This study falls in two chapters. The first tackles the concept of e-commerce and marketing. It details steps leading to the set up of e-commerce and its requirements in the Arab world. The second describes the Arab attitude towards e-commerce. We have looked at statistics on internet usage in the Arab world and examined the behavior of the business community towards the gradual adoption (application) of electronic business.
