Authors : Bouasla Rima . Ouacherine Hassane .

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the impact of cultural dimensions, power distance and uncertainty avoidance on the management practices of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Algerian construction sector. A standardized questionnaire was administered to these SMEs to assess cultural dimensions and management practices. Data were analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) to test the research hypotheses. The findings reveal that national culture significantly influences management practices. The implications highlight the importance of incorporating cultural nuances to enhance organizational performance. The study confirms the relevance of Hofstede's cultural dimensions in this context and encourages further research to extend the findings beyond the construction sector with larger sample sizes.
