Abstract

Abstract: This study attempts to explore the image of the Algerian Revolution and its development in the Libyan press, as well as its resistance to all forms of aggression from the French occupation, particularly during the era of General De Gaulle where the country witnessed the most violent phases of repression, displacement, and property infringement until De Gaulle and his government were convinced of the necessity to negotiate in order to meet the demands of the Algerian people. Libya, with all its diverse elements and components of society, particularly the media, contributed significantly to the financial, military, and human support for the Algerian Revolution. The written media, which was more widespread than other media outlets, whether audio or visual, played a crucial role in mobilizing public opinion against the French, collecting donations, and providing all forms of assistance to the Algerian people during their ordeal.
