Abstract: The increase in extreme weather events, rising sea levels, desertification and other consequences of climate change have given rise to a disturbing reality: that of climate refugees. International law, which governs the rights and responsibilities of States and individuals globally, is confronted with the growing size of these vulnerable populations in the absence of a precise definition or a determined international legal framework to them. This raises crucial questions about the protection of climate refugees and the obligations of states towards them. Thus, by understanding the complex nature of this phenomenon, it becomes imperative to find innovative and collaborative solutions to ensure the protection and dignity of those displaced by climate change.
