Globalization is now a universal term that is conventionally accepted throughout the globe. It tries to suggest a common global civilization and a unified world. Globalization spread its wings and touches almost every corners of the globe. However in India, it has also shows it existence in various fields. The touch of globalization has a wide impact on the India society and the mass media enhance the pace of the impact. Globalization brings a wide range of foreign cultures and mass media continuously propagating those cultures among the Indian society. After the amalgamation of the foreign cultures with the Indian one, social change are taking place and developing a hybrid culture. The article entitled ‘Globalization, Mass Media and the Social Changes of India’ make a thorough analysis and shows how globalization with the help of mass media developing a hybrid culture and how the hybrid cultures dominating over the Indian social system.
