Authors : Brichi Belkacem .

Abstract

The Syrian conflict witnessed many stages, represented by the international intervention through international and regional organizations and the military intervention in which the major countries, led by the United States of America, Russia and Turkey, contributed with humanitarian justifications to protect civilians, The Arab League had a role in the beginning of the conflict by interfering with the obligation of the Syrian regime to respect human rights, respect the right to demonstrate, and not use force against demonstrators, while making the political change demanded by the Syrian people, As for the United Nations, it demanded the necessity of implementing the recommendations of the League of Arab States, respecting human rights, not using force against demonstrators, and respecting the sovereignty of the Syrian state. In addition to its right to legitimate defense stipulated in Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.
