الملخص
ملخص المقال: نسعى في هذه الورقة الى البحث في صورة الشرق من منظور الغرب. فمنذ أن استفاق الغرب على وجود دولة اسلامية مجاورة له، تشكل مصدر تهديد له لم يهدأ له بال في التخلص منها. فكان الاستشراق واحدا من الطرق التي استخدمها الغرب لفهم الشرق. الا أن هذه القراءة التي قدمها على يد علمائه أمثال ماسينيون أبهرت الكثير من الشرقيين أنفسهم. الأمر الذي جعلنا نتساءل:ما الغاية من دراسة الغرب للشرق؟ و هل هذه الدراسة كانت بريئة و موضوعية؟ Summary of the article: In this paper, we seek to investigate the image of the East from the perspective of the West. Ever since the West woke up to the existence of an Islamic state neighboring it, it has been a source of threat to it and has not given up on getting rid of it. Orientalism was one of the methods the West used to understand the East. However, this reading, which he presented at the hands of scholars such as Massignon, impressed many Easterners themselves. Which made us wonder: What is the purpose of the West studying the East? Was this study innocent and objective?
