Tao, The Essence Of Chinese Philosophy

Authors : Bouffada Houda .

Abstract

Taoists believe that the origin of the world is the Tao. Within the Tao, the first distinction between existence and non-existence appears in the form of yin and yang. From the impulse resulting from the opposition of yin and yang, the five elements of wood, fire, metal, water and earth could be born. From these life-forming elements, Taoists believe in the beginning of the universe. According to Taoist philosophy, each individual can only represent himself and must know how to channel it, recognising the impact his actions can have on the rest of the world. The aim of the research is to introduce the essence of Chinese thought and philosophy, which is more concerned with the individual, his consciousness, and his spiritual and contemplative life in his search for harmony with nature and the universe. The work concludes by explaining the status of the Tao as the source of all wisdom, the source of purity and purity, and as a philosophy of life and religion. The Tao is the guide of chinese man.
