الملخص

The present paper entitled: The Self struggle with the Other between the riddle of terrorism and historical enmity, a reading in The Second Confession of "Ascram's Confessions" Novel by Ezz El-Din Mihoubi deals with two questions, the first entitled “the riddle of terrorism from the point of view of the Other" (reading in the dialectical relationship between the self and the other), examines the problem of terrorism in the vision of the other or rather in his perception and how he relates terrorism and extremism with to Islam and Muslims, through a careful reading of the confession of "Raphael ّ سج األنامع اآلخر بين أحجيةاإلرهابوالعداءالتاريخي" ("قراءةفياالعتراف الثاني من رو اية"اعتر افات أسكرام) 39 Ramon Gabrera" who presents the Western vision on terrorist events, more accurately the vision of a western man who witnessed the terrorist bombings closely, as they happened in his country, as well as his beloved fiancée was killed meanwhile. The second question entitled "Identity in light of the duplicate discourse and dependence on the other" which highlights the reality of the Arab elites between their home countries and the countries of the other, and more specifically the recognition of these elites between the two realities. In general, this paper does not intend only to explore the fine details of the relationship between the self and the other, but to reveal the conditions of the awareness of the "other" with "the self", and how this awareness was shaped until it becomes a vision of a consistent presence in the intellectual, literary, and cultural scene in general, considering that the vision of the world refers to the intellectual aspect of the writer, which precedes the final embodiment of the literary production, and which emerged essentially from the society and the community to which the writer belongs, thus, it is a collective visionary production
