The Development Of The Tourism Sector In Algeria And Its Impact On Economic Growth During The Period 2005-2021

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the development of the tourism sector and the economic growth rate in Algeria and their development prospects, in addition to measuring the impact of the tourism sector on economic growth in Algeria in the period from 2005 to 2021. The results concluded that there is a simple effect of the tourism sector (number of arrivals and tourism revenues) on Economic growth in Algeria during the period studied. This confirms the weak development performance of the tourism sector in the country, which calls for improving tourism development strategies and increasing attention to it. The study suggests the necessity of completing guidelines for developing tourism infrastructure and enhancing financing for tourism projects to improve the economic performance of the sector in Algeria. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل تطور القطاع السياحي ومعدل النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر وآفاق تطورهما، بالإضافة الى قياس أثر القطاع السياحي على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر في الفترة من 2005 إلى 2021. وقد توصلت النتائج إلى وجود تأثير بسيط للقطاع السياحي (عدد الوافدين والإيرادات السياحية) على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر خلال الفترة المدروسة. هذا ما يُؤكد على ضعف الأداء التنموي للقطاع السياحي في البلاد، مما يستدعي تحسين استراتيجيات التنمية السياحية وزيادة الاهتمام به. وتقترح الدراسة ضرورة إتمام المخططات التوجيهية لتطوير البنية التحتية السياحية وتعزيز تمويل المشاريع السياحية لتحسين الأداء الاقتصادي للقطاع في الجزائر.
