الملخص
This research aims to study the relation between literature and the space theory using the Jean Duvignaud anthropological view in " ya banat Iskandariya "novel of the Egyptian novelist " Edward Al Karrat" . coming with the investigation of this topic we find two essential features, the first one is about the city as a female subject and the second is about the city as a maritime world , throughout this process the space is seen either as a material being or as a metaphorical being . elucidating this contrast points out the imaginary or the archive of the text
