Abstract
Recent years have witnessed a rapid development in the use of health information technology in the health systems of some countries because of the vital role played by this technology in facing COVID-19. Therefore, this study comes to highlight the impact of using health information technology in eliminating the effects of COVID-19 in the Algerian hospital establishments. To achieve this objective, questionnaires have been used as a main tool for data collection. So, 90 questionnaires have been distributed to a sample of doctors and officials, at a number of private hospital establishments in M’Sila city, in order to learn about the extent of using health information technology and the nature of the relationship between its application and the elimination of the effects of COVID-19 pandemic. The study has concluded that the hospital establishments used a high level of health information technology, which contributes to the limitation of the effects of COVID-19 pandemic in the hospital establishments, where the study took place, by 44.89%.
