Résumé
L’éducation à la santé environnementale a émergé en réponse à la prolifération croissante des problématiques sanitaires liées à l’environnement. Elle est venue amender et améliorer le cercle des relations de l’homme à son milieu de vie, dans une perspective de promotion de la santé environnementale. Ce texte de vulgarisation retrace succinctement les conditions de l’émergence de cette forme d’éducation, et aborde plusieurs aspects qui lui sont liés, il précise certaines notions ; recense les déterminants de la santé environnementale ; renseigne sur l’impact de l’altération de l’environnement et de la pollution sur la santé humaine et expose enfin, une expérience concrète de promotion de la santé environnementale. Environmental health education has emerged in response to the growing proliferation of environmental health issues. It has come to amend and improve the circle of relationships between man and his living environment, with a view to promoting environmental health. This popular text succinctly retraces the conditions of the emergence of this form of education and addresses several aspects related to it, it clarifies certain notions; identifies the determinants of environmental health; provides information on the impact of environmental alteration and pollution on human health and finally exposes a concrete experience of environmental health promotion.
