?analysis Of Bitcoin Price Fluctuations During The Covid-19 Pandemic: Is It A Safe Haven

Abstract
Our research paper aims to analyze Bitcoin price fluctuations as global cumulative confirmed cases rise and confirm whether Bitcoin is a safe haven during the pandemic, we are testing the hypothesis that Investors are turning to Bitcoin because of the increase in global confirmed cases in light of the sharp spread of Covid-19. A descriptive analysis of daily data from January 22, 2020 to May 01, 2022 shows that Bitcoin did not act as a safe haven during the pandemic and that investors are not resorting to bitcoin in fear and confusion of the high number of global cumulative confirmed cases but are linked to herd Behavior and unconfirmed information. تهدف ورقتنا البحثية إلى تحليل تقلبات أسعار البيتكوين مع ارتفاع الحالات المؤكدة التراكمية العالمية وتأكيد ما إذا كانت البيتكوين ملاذا آمنا خلال الوباء، ونحن نختبر فرضية أن المستثمرين يلجأون إلى البيتكوين بسبب زيادة الحالات المؤكدة العالمية في ضوء الانتشار الحاد لـ Covid-19. يظهر التحليل الوصفي للبيانات اليومية من 22 يناير 2020 إلى 01 مايو 2022 أن البيتكوين لم تكن بمثابة ملاذ آمن خلال الوباء وأن المستثمرين لا يلجأون إلى البيتكوين خوفا وارتباكا من العدد الكبير من الحالات المؤكدة التراكمية العالمية ولكنها مرتبطة بسلوك القطيع والمعلومات غير المؤكدة.
