الملخص
This study aimed at identifying the role of TV channels in spreading violence among children from parent’s perspective and law besides highlighting parent’s points of view at what the main issues that the TV channels should take into consideration in order to stop among children. The study population comprised of 451 mothers and fathers (chosen randomly) who watch TV channels for at least one hour on daily basis. The study showed that 71% of the mothers considered the effect of TV channels in spreading violence as high one while 22% considered the effect as moderate and 7% said it is weak. The study showed that 59% of the fathers considered the effect of TV channels in spreading violence as high one while 29% considered the effect as moderate and 12% said it is weak. The whole study population agreed on the importance of cancelling programs which contain violent scenes and concentrate on programs which enhance talents, creativity, good behavior, cooperation and entertainment.
