ملخص البحث: لقد تمترس الغرب بحرية التعبير والتفكير واعتبر الإساءة إلى الرسول عليه السلام وبقية المقدسات الإسلامية مجرد حرية رأي فقط لا أقل ولا أكثر؛ واختفت بذلك كل الشعارات التي تتحدث عن منع ازدراء الأديان والرموز الدينية، وعدم نشر الكراهية وتهديد الأمن القومي والعلاقات الدولية، وهكذا أصبحت حرية التعبير حقا يراد به باطل خاصة إذا تعلق الأمر بالإساءة إلى المقدسات الإسلامية. يهدف البحث إلى إبراز الأزمة القيمية التي يعيشها العقل الغربي إزاء الإسلام ومقدساته، فكل ما يثير ضده من إساءات وشبهات وأباطيل ما هي إلا استمرارية تاريخية لصراع عقدي طويل تقف خلفه لوبيات وقوى اقتصادية وسياسية تقتات من مخلفات هذا الصراع. وفي ظل هذا الصراع يأتي هذا البحث ليضع الأصبع على الجرح، ويعالج محاور هذه القضية بمنظور شرعي حكيم وتاريخي محكم، من خلال طرح أسئلة مقلقة على عقلاني الغرب وحكمائه مع ضرورة الإجابة عنها بكل موضوعية وحيادية، أو على الأقل استحضار تحكيم دولي في هذه القضية. Search summary in English: The West has practiced freedom of expression and thought, and considered insulting the Messenger, peace be upon him, and the rest of the Islamic sanctities, just freedom of opinion, nothing less or more. With this, all the slogans that talked about preventing contempt for religions and religious symbols, and not spreading hatred and threatening national security and international relations, disappeared, and thus freedom of expression became a right that is intended to be void, especially when it comes to insulting Islamic sanctities. The research aims to highlight the value crisis experienced by the Western mind regarding Islam and its sanctities, as all the abuses, suspicions and falsehoods raised against it are nothing but a historical continuity of a long contractual struggle behind which are lobbies and economic and political forces that feed on the remnants of this conflict. In the light of this conflict, this research comes to put the finger on the wound, and addresses the axes of this issue from a legal, wise and historical perspective, by asking troubling questions to the rationalists and sages of the West with the need to answer them in all objectivity and impartiality, or at least invoke international arbitration in this case.
