الرؤية الأمريكية الاستشراقية للتأريخ والفكر العربي الإسلامي The American Orientalist View Of Arab And Islamic History And Thought

الملخص

The article focuses on the American Orientalist School and its research on medieval history and Arab- civilization .It includes important discussions about what is term Orientalism in the perspective of American Orientalists, the origins of American Orientalism and its areas of interests and characteristics, as well as highlighting the most valuable and fair scientific contributions made by the pioneers of American Orientalism in the field of Arab and Islamic history and civilization, and examples that have been picked up on the side of Oriental orientation Frantz Rosenthal, Wall Durant, and Michael Hart. On the other hand, the research sheds light on a number of orientalists who have been prejudiced against the Arab-Islamic civilization. Among the most prominent orientalists who were mentioned to find out a number of negative aspects of Orientalism in the field of Orientalization service Samuel Zwimmer, or the avoidance of rightness in some historical opinions related to medieval Islamic history such as, or political employment of Orientalism such as orientalist Bernard Lewis. Among the aims of this study are to celebrate the scientific production and invest the visions of Arab and Muslim researchers in criticizing and evaluating Orientalist visions, and to value and fairness the pioneers of American Orientalist studies that contributed to the Arab-Islamic heritage to achieve, publish and translate. And crystallizing an objective and equitable position on Orientalism in general and contemporary American Orientalism in particular. يتمحور المقال حول المدرسة الاستشراقية الأمريكية وبحوثها المتعلقة بالتاريخ الوسيط والحضارة العربية الإسلامية؛ ويتضمن مباحث مهمة حول ماهية مصطلح الاستشراق في منظور المستشرقين الأمريكيين، ونشأة الاستشراق الأمريكي ومجالات اهتماماته وخصائصه، كما يتطرق إلى أبرز الإسهامات العلمية القيمة والمنصفة التي اضطلع بها رواد الاستشراق الأمريكي في مجال التاريخ والحضارة العربية الإسلامية، ومن الأمثلة التي تم انتقاؤها في جانب الإنصاف المستشرق فرانتز روزنتال ، وول ديورانت، وجورج سارتون، ومايكل هارت . وفي المقابل يسلط البحث الضوء على عدد من المستشرقين الذين أجحفوا في حق الحضارة العربية الإسلامية. ومن أبرز المستشرقين الذين تم إيرادهم للوقوف على عدد من الجوانب السلبية للتوظيف الاستشراقي في مجال خدمة التنصير المستشرق صمويل زويمر، أو مجانبة الصواب في بعض الآراء التاريخية المتعلقة بالتاريخ الإسلامي الوسيط مثل فيليب حتي، أو التوظيف السياسي للاستشراق مثل المستشرق برنارد لويس.ومن بين الأهداف التي تصبو إليها هذه الدراسة الاحتفاء بالانتاج العلمي واستثمار رؤى الباحثين العرب والمسلمين في نقد وتقويم الرؤى الاستشراقية، و تثمين وإنصاف رواد الدراسات الاستشراقية الأمريكية التي أسهمت في التراث العربي الإسلامي تحقيقا ونشر و ترجمة، مما يمكن أن يُعد نواة لدراسات معلوماتية تالية ، وبيان الجوانب السلبية في الاستشراق الأمريكي. وبلورة موقف موضوعي منصف من الاستشراق بصفة عامة و الاستشراق الأمريكي المعاصر بصفة خاصة. و تم من خلال البحث اعتماد جملة من المراجعات النقدية الجادة للاستشراق الأمريكي على غرار إدوارد سعيد و علي إبراهيم النملة The article focuses on the American Orientalist School and its research on medieval history and Arab- civilization .It includes important discussions about what is term Orientalism in the perspective of American Orientalists, the origins of American Orientalism and its areas of interests and characteristics, as well as highlighting the most valuable and fair scientific contributions made by the pioneers of American Orientalism in the field of Arab and Islamic history and civilization, and examples that have been picked up on the side of Oriental orientation Frantz Rosenthal, Wall Durant, and Michael Hart.
