الملخص

The topic of this article is about the role of context in determining meaning. The context is the total relations and links between the word and its surroundings, and between the sentences, forming what defines, or directs to what is indicated by the components of the literary work, in its small units; It is the weighted presumption, or it is all the circumstances surrounding the text and the circumstances affecting it and its product; Where it (the text) is seen as a document that has a clear indication of the aspects of life, and the conditions that existed; Among its indications is what may be apparent in parts of it; And some of them may not appear at first glance. The aim of studying this topic is to review the most important opinions in support and opposition to the adoption of context in determining meaning while searching for the meanings of texts.
