Abstract: There is a strong correlation between Sufi discourse and communication since it is almost inevitable to state one of them without evoking the other. In the Sufi discourse, interactive communication is achieved through language which constitutes the existential revelation of the world, and the link between this witnessed life and the unseen one. The language in this discourse is based on conceptual notions. The latter reflects the content of the murid’s emotions and feelings experienced in his spiritual journey in order to achieve the mystical connectedness or divine encounter through three main stations, namely: Al-takhliyah, (removal of misconduct), Al-tahliya (adoption of good conduct), and Al-wissal (religious devotion). As communicative activities link between the addressee and the recipient, the Sufi discourse is based on three main concepts: Al-samaa (hearing spiritual chanting), al-wujd (having ecstatic emotions) and Al-shath (expressing ecstatic utterance). And this is what enabled the researcher to distinguish in Sufi discourse between three levels of receptivity: direct, abstract, and symbolic. The intersection of the Sufi discourse and communication is confirmed through the dense and rich circles of communication interwoven by the Sophists so as to deepen their close relationship with God Almighty, his Messenger, the righteous saints, the Sufi masters, and their disciples.
