Résumé
Dans l’imaginaire social des pays maghrébins et de l’Algérie, plus précisément, la figure du père est valorisée par son statut de représentant de l’ordre, de garant des traditions et de transmission des valeurs éducatives. En effet, les sociétés organisées sur le mode du patriarcat tendent à glorifier le rôle du père charismatique et à construire l’image rigide de l’autorité absolue. Qu’en est-il des représentations de la figure paternelle dans la littérature algérienne francophone? Les textes littéraires parce qu’ils mettent en lumière les conflits latents dans la société, peuvent décrire et reproduire le réel en nous le montrant autrement, en nous dévoilant le non-dit des interactions sociales, en brisant les préjugés, les stéréotypes ou les clichés qui s’incrustent dans l’imaginaire socio-culturel. Dans cette étude, il sera question de la représentation de la figure du père dans deux textes de la littérature algérienne d’expression française, le premier L’élève et la leçon d’un auteur de la génération révolutionnaire, à savoir Malek Haddad, le second 1994 d’un jeune auteur algérien de la littérature francophone contemporaine. A travers ces deux textes, nous prospecterons les voies (et les voix) qui mènent de la contestation de la figure paternelle, de la volonté de rupture avec les idées archaïques à l’éventuelle réconciliation. Abstract : In the social imagination of the Maghreb countries and of Algeria, more precisely, the figure of the father is valued by his status as a representative of the order, a protector of traditions and by transmission of educational values. In fact, societies wich are organized on the mode of patriarchy tend to glorify the role of the charismatic father and to build the strong image of absolute authority. What about representations of the father figure in French-speaking Algerian literature? Literary texts reveal the latent conflicts in society that’s why they can describe and reproduce reality by showing it to us differently, by revealing to us the unspoken social interactions, by breaking down prejudices, stereotypes or clichés which are prevailing in the socio-cultural imagination. In this study, it will be a question of the representation of the figure of the father in two texts of the Algerian literature of French expression, the first one L’élève et la leçon is of an author of the revolutionary generation, namely Malek Haddad, the second one 1994 by a young Algerian author of contemporary French-speaking literature. Through these two texts, we will see how the father figure evolves, from protest to the desire to break with archaic ideas and to a possible reconciliation.
