الملخص
تزخر مدينة شرشال بتراث تاريخي وأثري هام، جمع سلسلة من الفترات التاريخية القديمة والإسلامية، هذا ما يؤكد تعاقب حضارات عريقة، تركت لنا آثارا كأدلة مادية بقيت شاهدة على أصالتها، ومحتفظة بالعديد من معالمها الأثرية المختلفة. يتناول هذا المقال تاريخ مدينة شرشال منذ ما قبل التاريخ إلى الفترة المعاصرة، حيث يهدف إلى إبراز الدور الذي لعبته بين مدن حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط، وكذا مساهمتها في تطور حضارة شمال إفريقيا وبلاد المغرب الإسلامي الوسيط والحديث. The city of Cherchell is full of an important historical and archaeological heritage, which brought together a series of ancient and Islamic historical periods, this confirms the succession of ancient civilizations, which have left us traces as proofs that have remained witnesses of its authenticity, and have preserved many of its various archeological monuments. This article deals with the history of the city of Cherchell from prehistoric times to the contemporary period, as it aims to highlight the role it played among the cities of the Mediterranean basin, as well as its contribution to the development of the civilization of North Africa and the medieval and modern Islamic Maghreb.
