In fact, the author aimed at explaining the reasons behind the conflict enduring situation in Libya which has recently entered another transitional period with another government split. The study concluded that the failure in achieving a complete resolution of the conflict is mainly caused by the lack of cohesiveness between the kind of the conflict, which really belongs to Fourth and Fifth generations of warfare, and the recommendations of the outdated peace resolution process and approaches.
