La Palmeraie Du L’ksar De Ouargla Entre Contraintes Et Possibilités De Réhabilitations

Résumé

The ancient palm grove of the ksar of Ouargla has been able to maintain itself over several centuries on the basis of a very coherent social organization. Currently, with all its problems, the palm grove has lost its initial function, its economic profitability has become very insignificant, and the population is less motivated to its valorization. Our work consists in carrying out surveys among 63 farms. These surveys are intended to evaluate and determine the various constraints that surround this ancient system and propose practical improvement actions that must be undertaken for the rehabilitation. In the light of our modest work, the palm grove of the Ksar of Ouargla seems doubly condemned, on the one hand, in the short term by all the scourges and direct threats: theft, vandalism, fires, urbanization and others. On the other hand, for lack of rejuvenation and maintenance, a threat condemns it in the long term. Despite the interventions of the various ministries through their decentralized structures at the local level, to overcome some constraints, by structuring actions in order to develop and rehabilitate, the palm grove of the Ksar remains threatened by the disappearance.
