This research aims at identifying how the speakers of a sample of Algerian radio speakers in the various radio and television channels pronounce the short Arabic vowels, as well as to which extent they are achieved according to their specifications, through elevation and lowering. It also endeavours at an accurate scientific description of these vowels and their various variations, and an attempt to explain this physically and physiologically according to the results of laboratory research. Furthermore, it seeks to indicate ways to benefit from the data of the physical study and use them in the detection of physiological data. At the end of the research, we reached some results, the most important are: the Dammah in general is the most elevating Arabic vowel, followed by Fatha, then kasra comes as the effect of the lowered vowels. Likewise, all Arab vowels tend to be lowered if they often fall between two lowered consonants .Besides, it tends to elevation if it falls between two elevated consonants, it also tends to relative elevation - to a lesser degree - if it is preceded or followed by an elevated consonant. We also concluded that these speakers do not adhere to the theoretically given descriptions of consonants and vowels, as well as the places where they are lowered and elevated. Rather, they often respond to purely physiological motives, including their willingness to elevate what is not elevated by the consonants, and thus the elevation of vowels just because of the presence of an elevated consonant in the context, in response to the law (least effort)
