Résumé
The world is generating more and more waste, and hospitals and health centers are no exception. Medical activities generate an increasing quantity of waste resulting from diagnostic, monitoring, preventive or curative treatment activities in the field of human and veterinary medicine, which expose to various risks, which it is necessary to manage to protect patients, healthcare staff, waste disposal workers, and the environment. The rigorous management of this waste constitutes a strategic axis of the national policy of continuous improvement of the quality and safety of care and the protection of the environment. In order for patients to receive the medical care they need and to recover in a safe environment, it is essential to dispose of waste safely.
