Most philosophers of civilization have not considered the question of the emergence of civilizations and its relation to the religious idea from the angle that Bennabi envisaged. I think he was the only one who did since the concept of religious ideas belongs entirely to him. He was also the only one who managed to reach i , due to the deteriorating social and historical conditions of the Arab-Islamic civilization. His thought, as we will emphasize in this article, was linked to the urgent need to theorize for a true renaissance of Islam, which is understood as the sum of the life and activities of the Arab-Islamic civilization, since the revelation until our days.
