Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the role of the medical information system in reducing the costs of medical institutions, and the study concluded that there is potential for (HIS). This is evidenced by the investments that are currently being injected into the development and adoption of HIT. Nonetheless, for HIS to deliver on its promise, there are significant obstacles that must be overcome arising from the interaction of users of the HIT system, HIT itself and the policies that govern the use of health information systems.
