Résumé

High performance in volleyball has very demanding requirements and requires care for young talent from the age of 6-8 years with an adequate long-term methodological program up to the age of 18-20 years. Our contribution raised aspects of the literature specific to volleyball touching the point of view of certain schools which marked their passage at the level of the Olympic games and the world championships, such as Russia by Ivoïlov 1984, Germany by Horst Backe1989, via Michel Genson, Guy Di Grantommasso 1988 for the French school as well as the experience of Canada and its methodological approach (Quebec 2013). All this theoretical wealth represents a basis and a literary and documentary contribution for the various coaches in volleyball. Our study therefore contributes to the partial resolution of the major problem that governs the phenomenon of sporting success in volleyball by providing some insight into the preparation of young volleyball players up to the international standard.
