Diversification of products, economic activities and markets is one of the key factors for regional and local economic development. The path of economic diversification through development of tourism has proved its success in many countries such as United Arab Emirates, especially in Dubai. Tourism is now a core sector contributing to Dubai’s economy. More specifically, this research aims at providing an overview of the different elements acting in the economic diversification through tourism in Dubaï, their strategies and the competition policy, in which functions and values were thoroughly investigated with two approaches: firstly, theoretically and then descriptive analytical via case study of Dubai.
