New public administrations and governance have recently been influenced by Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), leading to simplify government procedures, and improve interactions with citizens. E-government (short for electronic government) guarantees the linking of citizens to the various agencies of government and get all government services in an automated and automatic way. However, there are many challenges that affect its implementation. In this paper, we mention existing research works that deal with E-Government in developing countries. We also provide an overview presenting the main challenges faced by administrations and governance. Finally, we discuss opportunities for developing a successful E-government, and present the different factors for reaching the success for E-government projects.
