Du Manuel Au Cédérom : Les Relations Intersémiotiques En Jeu Dans La Construction Du Savoir

Auteurs : Lathene-da Cunha Aurélie .

Résumé

Abstract: The aim of the textbook is to teach knowledge, and the image occupies a special place in the construction of this knowledge. In addition to inscribing the subject in a certain vision of the theme, the image participates in the construction of knowledge through its representative content and its use by the text. The textbook constructs its meaning through the co-presence and interaction of text and image. The textbook as a multi-codal object is increasingly being accompanied by another multi-codal medium: the CD-ROM. Although composed of different semiotic systems, the CD-ROM implies variations not only in its form but also in the enunciative positions of its subject and in the mode of learning. What does it mean to put the CD-ROM in motion and in autonomy in relation to the textbook? What does the transition to the CD-ROM contribute to the construction of knowledge? What semiotic problems does this pose for the constitution of the cognitive subject? The program of knowledge acquisition for the textual support is particular in that the transformation, the performance to a certain extent, takes place only when reading, so we seek to determine how the performance is translated in the course on CD-ROM. The read is transformed into known in the subject, at least that is what the manual assumes, but can we apply a similar correspondence when it comes to animated objects? Through a study of a corpus of school textbooks and the CD-ROM associated with them, we propose to study the issues involved in the transition from textbook to CD-ROM and to show the different enunciative positions engendered for the reader/actor of these media. We propose first of all a study of the text/image relationship in the textbook in order to highlight the inter-semiotic relationships of this medium and their place in the construction of knowledge. We will then compare the relationship between the text and the image in the CD-ROM: the changes that have occurred in the consideration of the different codes and their interrelationships. Are there any recurrences in the function of the image between the media? We will try to determine the specificity of the path of knowledge acquisition constructed by each type of support in order to identify the different enunciative positions induced by the two supports: what differences and what continuities can be identified when the CD-ROM is presented as complementary to the textbook? Through each medium, each of which postulates a different cognitive subject, can certain similarities be identified that are capable of constituting a global subject?
