الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التنبيه إلى ضرورة تفادي القراءات السطحية لكتابات المستشرقين حول السيرة النبوية، و الحث على التحلي بالروح النقدية، وعدم التسرع في إصدار أحكام إيجابية قطعية على كتابات أولئك الذين وصفوا منهم بالمعتدلين والمنصفين للإسلام وللرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ومن هؤلاء المستشرق البريطاني توماس كارليل، الذي تعج كتاباته بالعديد من الافتراءات المتعلقة بنبوة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، والقرآن الذي أنزل عليه، وهي الافتراءات التي ينبغي تفنيدها . : Abstract This study aimed to warn of the need to avoid superficial readings of Orientalist writings on the Prophet’s biography, And calling for a critical spirit, And not to rush to pass positive judgments on the writings of those who were described as being fair to Islam and the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, Among these are the British Orientalist Thomas Carlyle, whose writings are replete with many slanders related to the prophet hood of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Qur’an that was revealed to him . and these slanders must be refuted
