Authors : Sid Hassane . Menadjlia El-hadba .

Abstract

This field study sets out to define and identify the social representations of illegal immigrants from the countries of the Sahel, according to the Central Core Approach of Jean-Claude Abric, using the Descriptive Approach, Relational Network Analysis techniques, Pre-investigation and The distinguishing forms, applied to an intentional sample of 95 people from the city of Tebessa, within different Socio-professional classes, who have or had a contact with illegal immigrants. The study found out that the representation of illegal immigrant’s concept was centred on a set of idioms and words of a social, economic and security character, which forms a negative particular attitude and public way towards them
