أهمية الترجمة في الحفاظ على المخطوط العربي

الملخص
عُرف العرب منذ العصور الإسلامية الأولى بولعهم بالكتب و المخطوطات حيث كانت المكتبات تنموا في كل مكان كالأعشاب وكان إقبالهم على الكتابة والتأليف إقبالاً منقطع النظير لم تضاهيه شعوب كثيرة أخرى كانت تمتلك آنذاك من مقومات الحضارة ما يؤهلها لذلك. ومع ازدهار حركة الترجمة والتأليف في العصر العباسي، أقبل الكثير من العلماء العرب والمستشرقين على ترجمة الكتب والمخطوطات إلى لغات أخرى لإبراز مكانة الحضارة العربية الإسلامية وإثراء الحضارات الأخرى. حيث تلعب الترجمة دورًا مهمًا في تعزيز حوار الثقافات لإعادة التواصل والتلاقي وبناء جسر ثقافي بين اللغات من أجل التلاقح الحضاري، وبفضلها تمكنا من التعرف على آداب وثقافات مختلف الشعوب وتسهيل الحوار الحضاري بينهم وكذا الاستفادة مما توصّل إليه الآخرون في ميادين شتى. من هنا تبقى ضرورة ترجمة المخطوطات مسألة قصوى وبالغة الأهمية في إبراز التراث الثقافي للشعوب باعتباره من مقومات المجتمعات الإنسانية، ومزج المقومات التراثية والتاريخية بالأنشطة الإنسانية المعاصرة. Abstract: Since the early Islamic era, Arabs were eager for books and manuscripts. The libraries had sprung up everywhere like mushrooms. Their demand for writing had been unprecedented by any other people who possessed the foundations of civilization. As the translation and writing movement flourished in the Abbasid era, many Arab scholars and orientalists came to translate books and manuscripts into other languages to highlight the status of the Arab-Islamic civilization and to enrich other civilizations. Translation plays an important role in an intercultural dialogue. It introduces cultures to each other, modifying their image of each other, enriching them and finally contributing to their construction. It is a commonplace fact that translation deals not only with a language difference, but with a cultural difference as well, trying to build bridges between both cultures involved in a dialogue. Thus translation becomes a bridge between cultures inspiring their further dialogue and making it possible. More the translations there are, better the chances for the intercultural communication and understanding. Translation not only introduces new texts into a target culture, but transforms and reshapes the culture and its norms, enriching the culture, on the one hand, and facilitating its intercultural potential, on the other.
