الملخص
الملخص: يعالج هذا البحث مفهوما محوريا في الدراسات الثقافية والنقد الثقافي، هو مفهوم التمثيل، الذي ارتبط في شهرته بالناقد الفلسطيني ادوارد سعيد، لكنه مدين في ظهوره وتوظيفه في مجال الدراسات الثقافية الى الفيلسوف الفرنسي ميشال فوكو، وهو كمصطلح متواجد في ميادين معرفية متعددة كالعلوم اللغوية والقانون والسياسة وعلم النفس. مسعى هذا البحث هو التعرض الى المفاهيم التي عرفها هذا المصطلح قبل انتقاله الى النقد الثقافي أين عرف توظيفا كبيرا ومحوريا، نحاول معاينته مفهوميا ثم مناقشة بعض ما انجر عن هذا التوظيف من إشكاليات وما جابهه من تحديات. Abstract: This article proposes to address a central notion in cultural studies in general and cultural criticism in particular. It is about the representation of this notion which owes its fame to the work of the eminent Palestinian critic Edward Saïd but whose genesis and application to cultural studies are linked to the French philosopher Michel Foucault. As a term representation appears in many disciplines such as language sciences, law, political science and psychology. The objective of this article is to closely follow the conceptual nuances and meanings known by this term before it was widely used in cultural criticism so we try to follow the development of this notion and address some problems and challenges raised by the use of this term in cultural studies.
