Values are a complex conceptual construct that have been considered; hitherto, as a central case of study in human sciences research. Values systems direct individual behaviors and when shared, guide and regulate collective behaviors at both organizational and social levels. This paper aims to integrate the specialized literature in the domain of values to develop a conceptual framework that embodies the origins of values, multiple analysis and expression levels, its characteristics and functions.
