The cultural element is one of the most involving factors in the translation process, thus translating the socio-cultural features and customs belonging to different parts of the world, has always been a strenuous task for translation workers especially for literary translation. The writings of travelers are rich of substantial cultural and civilized components that carry lot of significances and inspirations which concern a particular .group of human My data consists of a particular gender of literature :travel literature, in which we travel with the writer feelings and style; and for my study I chose the trip of Hilton Simpson to Algeria precisely to the region of Aures, untitled Among the Hill-Folks of Algeria, so he described the customs and behaviors of the local inhabitants using its English language and words that reflect the cultural environment of each region. I picked out some cultural words as a sample for my study. After analyzing these samples I realized that the traveler did not find the linguistic cultural equivalent in his European language and culture and kept the same foreign significations. For this reason he opted for borrowing . through transliteration and other translation techniques .Indeed, transferring the cultural component remains one of the most difficult task that the translator could face
