الملخص
ملخص: يتناول المقال بالدراسة والتحليل، أهمية الجغرافيا السياسية لمنطقة المتوسط ومحوريتها في الإستراتجية العالمية للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، خاصة على ضوء التحديات والفرص التي أفرزتها التغيرات الجوسياسية بعد نهاية الحرب الباردة ،وفي ظل التهديدات اللاتماثلية التي نتجت عنها. ويخلص المقال إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها،تطوير صانع القرار الأمريكي لإدراك استراتيجي جديد للتعامل مع ديناميات هذه المنطقة الحيوية للمصالح الأمريكية في ظل تنافس دولي متزايد. Abstract: The article deals with study and analysis, the importance of the geopolitics of the Mediterranean and its pivotism in the global strategy of the United States of America, especially in light of the challenges and opportunities created by the geopolitical changes after the end of the Cold War, and in light of the asymmetric threats that resulted from it. The article concludes with a set of results, the most important of which is the development of the American decision-maker for a new strategic awareness to deal with the dynamics of this vital region for US interests in light of increasing international competition.
