Numerical Analysis Of Laterally Loaded Single Pile

Abstract

In this study, a numerical analysis by the finite element method is used to study the lateral response of piles subjected to horizontal loads or lateral movements due to adjacent work of excavations. The numerical modeling of the pile-soil system was carried out in plan strain condition 2D. A reasonable agreement was obtained between the numerical results obtained by Plaxis 2D and those experimental, numerical and analytical.
