الملخص
تهتم المعالجة الآلية للغات الطبيعية بدراسة اللسان البشري و محاولة الاستفادة من العلوم الأخرى بغرض حوسبة اللغة و لا يخص الأمر لغة معينة . لم يعد يهتم البحث اللساني بالطرق التي بموجبها تتكون الجمل في لغة من اللغات فقط، وإنما أصبح موضوع اللسانيات يتسع ليشمل التعرف على الكيفية التي يشتغل بها الدماغ البشري، أي تحديد الآلة اللغوية ذاتها، في محاولة التعرف على سر تكوينها وطريقة اشتغالها لدى الإنسان عامة. ولعل هذا هو الإشكال الذي يثار والسر الذي استعصى فهمه حتى على العلوم الدقيقة التي تمتلك من الأدوات الإجرائية ما يمكّنها من ذلك. The automatic processing of natural languages is concerned with studying the human tongue and trying to benefit from other sciences for the purpose of computerizing language, and the matter is not related to a specific language. Linguistic research is no longer concerned with the ways in which sentences are formed in a language only, but the topic of linguistics has expanded to include identifying how the human brain operates, that is, identifying the linguistic machine itself, in an attempt to identify the secret of its formation and the way it works in humans in general. Perhaps this is the problem that arises and the secret that has eluded understanding even of the exact sciences that have the procedural tools that enable them to do so.
