الملخص

Abstract : Religious trauma syndrome at the converts from Islam in Algeria The world has known terrible violence in the name of Islam over the last two decades, until it is presented to the world as a religion that promote violence, murder, and vandalism. The terrorist incidents that have characterized Algeria since the 1990s, and the political events of the Kabylie region in 2001, have led to serious security disturbances in the region, where all kinds of the crimes (killing, assaulting, abduction etc) Physical and psychological conditions, as well as difficult economic and social conditions. (مخلوف-بن تونس، 2014، ص. 73) This prompted many Algerians to abandon this religion and to convert to Christianity in general (Makhlouf-BenTunis,2014). "Terrorism, according to Makhlouf-bentounes (2014), is a reason to dislike Islam and turn to Christianity, This is because terrorism since the nineties (or the -called black decades) has spread terror in the soul and fear of losing lives on the one hand, and what it has caused of grief and resentment against the dead on the other. (مخلوف-بن تونس، 2014، ص. 73) For this reason, religious beliefs or believing in a particular religion is one of the most sensitive issues that have a positive and negative aspect. At the same time, the individual tries to commit to the religious teachings and spiritual values imposed by the religion, but sometimes extremism in the exploitation of religion by clerics and Extremist religious groups impose harsh religious teachings, and obligation to the group's view do not allow the thinking and questioning of the clergy’s authority which create a kind of disorder and psychological problems. This is confirmed by Marlene Winell, where: exposure to painful religious experiences or living within an extremist group Or passive vulnerability caused by leaving a religious group , leads to what she -called " Religious Trauma Syndrome.-Religious Trauma Syndrome : is a traumatic experience, or traumatic event, experienced by people who suffer from religious dogmatism or religious power, or because they are out of a particular religion and dominant religious group. At this stage, individuals undergo disintegration of faith and questioning of religious beliefs and thus separate themselves from the dominant society and the dominant way of life. The symptoms are somehow mild compared with post-traumatic stress disorder, which results from suffering, experience or serious injury that causes feelings of terror and disability and may be a single event or a chronic abuse. (Winell, 2011) .As for the syndrome of religious trauma, there is a chronic abuse of some kind, in addition to the basic trauma of leaving religion and questioning the belief. Like PTSD, the Religious Trauma Syndrome and the long-term effect of the traumatic event may cause problems - Functional - cognitive - relational - social ..and other problems. (Winell, 2011) We will try to conduct a study on a sample of converts from the Islamic religion and to show their degree of religious trauma syndrome. Wewill using the Marlene Winell questionnaire for religious trauma syndrome, and the Davidson Scal for PTSD (Scale according to DSM IV). And therefore may be recourse to the members of the sample to another religion and in this case the Christian as an attempt to achieve the resilience.
