Authors : Sebki Wafa .

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the relationship between education as measured by Enrollment ratios in secondary and higher education and economic growth as measured by the GDP growth rate in a sample of 40 developing countries during the period from 2002 to 2016, using the static panel data methodology. The results of estimating the fixed effects model with Robust option revealed that the ratios of those enrolled in higher education had a negative and significant effect on economic growth, while the ratios of enrolments in secondary education had no effect on economic growth.
