Abstract

Sedimentation in dam reservoirs is a vast field of study since it requires an interest in the many processes involved upstream of these structures up to their mode of sedimentation in the reservoirs. Several factors can influence the rate of siltation. The research carried out as part of this work aims to provide answers to the rhythms and processes of sedimentation in the lake of the Foum El Gherza dam. The representation of the data in graphical form makes it easier to illustrate the various changes in the silting up of the dam and to see if elements can play a major role in understanding the rates of sedimentation. To represent the data in the same table, it is necessary that they are comparable with each other. To do this, he then reports the initial capacity of the dam for each year of the bathymetric survey. Thus the loss of capacity for the same period which represents the quantity of sediments deposited in the lake of the dam. This category of study makes it possible to analyze the data collected in the field and thus be able to contribute to a better understanding of the different sedimentary dynamics of the basin studied.
