الملخص
لقد سعى خلفاء بني أمية منذ تولّيهم الخلافة إلى توطيد أركان ملكهم وتوسيع دولتهم والحفاظ على مكتسباتهم، وقد بذل الخلفاء الأمويون -بدءا من معاوية بن أبي سفيان- كلّ ما في وسعهم للقضاء على ما من شأنه أن يهدد حكمهم الذي أقاموه، فسخّروا كلّ الإمكانات التي لديهم من أجل قطع رؤوس المعارضة وإخماد نارها، خاصة منها المعارضة الشيعية والخارجية لما كان لهما من أتباع ومؤيدين، ولم يتم للأمويين ذلك إلا بعد أن خاضوا حروبا جساما ومعارك حاسمة أرست قواعد ملكهم، لذا جاءت هذه الدّراسة مسلطة الضوء على هذا الجانب، مبرزة جهود الخلفاء في سبيل القضاء على المعارضة الشيعية والخارجية، ومنهجهم في التعامل مع قادتها وزعمائها. Abstract: Since taking over the caliphate, the Umayyad caliphs have made all their efforts to eliminate the threats to their rule, and they have prepared All the possibilities they have to kill the leaders of the opposition and extinguish its fire, especially the Shiite and Kharijites opposition, which had a lot of followers and supporters, and the Umayyads were able to do so only after they entered into great wars and decisive battles that stabilized their rule, so this The study is interested in this aspect, in order to highlight the efforts of the Umayyad caliphs to eliminate the Shiite and kharijites opposition, and their approach to dealing with their leaders
