Résumé
Français Cette contribution ouvre une perspective sociolinguistique de la néologie en wolof dans l'œuvre autotraduite du wolof vers le français de Cheik Aliou Ndao. Elle montre que la néologie constitue une ''politique de normativisation linguistique''. La néologie met en exergue une capacité et une flexibilité de la langue wolof à s'adapter et à appréhender le monde nouveau en dehors de l'emprunt au français. L' étude souligne également la problématique communicationnelle de la néologie. Anglais This contribution opens a sociolinguistic perspective of neology in Wolof in the self-translated work from Wolof into French by Cheik Aliou Ndao. It shows that neology constitutes a “policy of linguistic normativization”. The neology highlights a capacity and flexibility of the Wolof language to adapt and apprehend the new world apart from borrowing from French. The study also underlines the communicational problem of neology.
