الملخص

يشغل الأمن الغذائي موقعا هاما ومتقدما في جدول أعمال مختلف بلدان العالم من أجل تحقيق اكتفاءها الذاتي الذي تواجهه عدة تحديات هامة جراء تفاقم المشاكل ومختلف الأزمات والأوبئة والنزاعات، غير أن الوضع زاد تأزما جراء الانتشار السريع لجائحة كورونا مع تزايد عدد الإصابات التي تخطت حاجز 10 مليون إنسان وفقد حوالي 500 ألف حياتهم عالميا بهذا الفيروس مما زادت المخاوف من الآثار السلبية على النظام الغذائي. ومن أجل تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي في معظم البلدان حماية لأمنها الغذائي لابد من تقليل استيراد الغذاء والاعتماد على الإنتاج المحلي، بالإضافة إلى دور منظمة الأغذية والزراعة التابعة للأمم المتحدة من خلال العديد من البرامج والمساعدات للتخفيف من آثار الوباء على الأغذية والزراعة، حيث تحث المنظمة البلدان على تلبية الاحتياجات الغذائية الفورية لسكانها الضعفاء، وتعزيز برامجها للحماية الاجتماعية، كما يعمل برنامج الأغذية العالمي من منطلق خبرته الطويلة والواسعة في الاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ والأزمات.
