Dictionary Approaches By Corpora

Abstract

This research is an attempt to shed light on the importance of corpora in the design of the recent dictionaries and official textbooks. The present paper gives examples taken from dictionaries based on corpora such as the British National Corpus BNC and the Oxford Corpus where all the analyses are made automatically with the help of computers and specific software that present the results in the form of frequencies, collocations and concordances.
