Résumé

The severity of the scorpionic poisoning is linked to the cardiac tropism of the scorpionic venom which will cause toxic fulminant myocarditis on a healthy heart. Current management is based on symptomatic treatment in addition to antiscorpionic immunotherapy. In situations with severe and refractory damage to the heart pump, extracorporeal circulatory assistance with an oxygenation membrane (ECMO) can have a place as an effective and efficient therapeutic in the management of severe scorpionic envenomations within the Cardiopulmonary supply strategy known as: "bridge to recovery".
